Assignment submission error

Browser: All versions of Google Chrome, Firefox 3.6, Firefox 3.5, Safari 4.0, as well as all Beta Release Candidates of IE8

Issue:

myWPI users running either Google Chrome or beta releases of IE8 will receive the following error message when trying to upload a file to the Assignment Manager: "Please enter a valid file."

myWPI users running Firefox 3.5 or Safari 4.0 may also experience some difficulties with submissions (see above error message) as these browsers are currently only provisionally supported by BlackBoard, the software that runs myWPI.

Known solution: Use of an officially supported browser will address this issue. Blackboard officially supports the use of the following browsers: Internet Explorer 7.0, Internet Explorer 8.0 (full release), Safari 3.1, and Firefox 3.0. For IE users: For this issue only, upgrading to the official release candidate of IE8 will resolve the problem.

Lack of Rich Text Editing Tools

Browser: All current versions of Google Chrome

Issue: myWPI users running Google Chrome will not have access to the What You See is What You Get (WYSIWYG) rich text editing tools from within the BlackBoard environment.
