Setup

Interwrite Workspace and the eInstruction pad can be a valuable asset to a classroom situation involving handwritten instruction from the professor. They can also be integrated with the student devices called "clickers". To set up this software and hardware, follow the following steps:
  1. Check to see if the Interwrite Workspace and eInstruction CPS Device Manager are installed. If they are not installed, insert the enclosed CD and follow the on-screen instructions to install the program. Run eInstruction CPS Device Manager.

  2. Attach the enclosed USB cable to the Bluetooth adapter, and then plug in the cable to a USB port on your computer. Ignore any messages from your Windows toolbar in the lower-right-hand corner of your desktop.

  3. Look for the eInstruction icon in the Windows toolbar and click on it. A menu will pop up; click on "Device Manager".

Then, turn on the pad. The power switch should be in the upper-left of the pad.

    Note:

If the pad does not turn on, use the AC power adapter included in the box to charge its battery. You can charge the pad while using it.
If the pen does not seem to work, you can charge it as well. Place the pen into the slot on the pad so that the pointed piece sticks up and plug the pad into a wall outlet with the AC power adapter.
  4. Click on the green "plus" icon. Then click "Scan for Devices." It should find the pad. Select it and click Connect.

  5. Run Interwrite Workspace from the Programs menu.

Congratulations! You can now control the mouse using the pad with the attached stylus.
