Project Objectives
Think about your final project. What do you want your audience to be have gained as a result of reviewing your project? Do not think about how your final project will look or what media you will use here. Rather, you want to think about what your audience will be able to do with the knowledge your project provides them. Tip: use verbs like identify, describe, create, compare, etc. See the following worksheet for more performance verbs.
Audience
Who is your primary target audience? What is their age group? Where do they live? Do they have prior knowledge of the content in your project? How will they interact with your project?
Scope
What is the goal of your project? What do you want your project to be about? What emotions do you want to evoke? What tone will your project take (serious, humorous, etc.) From what point of view will your project be told?
Project Type
What type of multimedia project will you use to accomplish your objectives? Examples include video, documentary, commercial, digital story, website, simulation, animation, game, podcast, etc. Why have you selected this medium?
Project Needs
Identify what needs you have for your project and who will be responsible for accomplishing/coordinating those needs.
Be sure to think about:
- Hardware/software needs
- Training
- Research
- Proofing/editing
