In on October 2005 issue of The Journal of Technology, Learning, and Assessment, researchers found that when students take tests and exams online, there is lower cognitive test anxiety, test threat, and quiz use. These statistically significant findings suggest that online testing may be a more accurate means of assessing student knowledge than testing conducted in a traditional manner.
