Cellular Service for iPads and other Tablets

You can purchase tablet devices through the IT Shop. Contact Scott Streeter (ss@wpi.edu).

When purchasing an iPad, you should request the Verizon Wireless ready device. Service is not required, nor does it need to be turned on right away. Free wireless is available on campus, as well as in many homes and hotels. If you find that you would like to add cellular service to your device at any time, please email the following information to Heidi Startz (heidi@wpi.edu):

  1. Device type, IMEI # or MEID #
  2. Employee Name and Department
  3. Department Account Number (i.e. Foapal) to charge
  4. Person to whom bills are forwarded
    5.

Currently, the unlimited data plan (domestic) is $39.99 per month on Verizon Wireless.
