SolidWorks 2006 SP4.1 Install
Off-campus installation notes:
- You must be connected to the VPN in order to install and to run this program
- SolidWorks is a very large program and the install time will vary depending on your connection speed from off campus. Dial-up connections will not be supported.
Installation Instructions
- Map your T: drive to\\rivet.wpi.edu\applications.
- Open up the T: drive and double click on the Solidworks folder.
- Double click on the shortcut labelled Install Solidworks.
- Click 'Next' at the first screen of the Setup Wizard.

- Choose the SolidWorks package you want to install and click 'Next' to continue.

- If you want to change the 'Destination Folders', you can do so by clicking the 'Change' buttons; when you're done, click 'Next' to continue.

- SolidWorks Serial Number should already be filled into the field; you don't need to change it. Click 'Next' to continue.

- Choose the 'unit' and 'dimension' standards you want to use for SolidWorks, then click 'Next' to continue.

- Choose whether or not you want to participate in the 'Customer Experience Feedback Program'. Then, the 'Next' button will be activated and you can click it to continue.

- Click the 'Add' button to add a license server to be used for SolidWorks.

- Enter '25735@sunfire.wpi.edu'(without the quotes) in the license server name field and click 'OK'.

- You should now see '25735@sunfire.wpi.edu' in the server list. Click 'OK' to get back to the Setup Wizard.

- Click 'Install' to start the installation of SolidWorks.

- Once the installation is complete, click 'Finish' to close the Setup Wizard. You may now launch SolidWorks from the Start Menu.
