HDI New England Analyst of the Year

Christopher Senseman Named Help Desk Institute (HDI) - New England Chapter Analyst of the Year!

On February 15, 2007 at a ceremony in Marlboro, Christopher Senseman was named Help Desk Institute (HDI) New England Chapter – Analyst of the Year! As the local chapter winner, Chris will go on to compete on the regional level against other winners from the North Eastern United States for the North East Regional title. Christopher Senseman is the Helpdesk Analyst at Worcester Polytechnic Institute. Chris joined the Helpdesk on June 1, 2005, after working a year at Meditech as an Applications Specialist. As a Helpdesk Analyst at WPI, Chris is responsible for providing front-line in-person, phone and e-mail support to the WPI community. He works closely with WPI Community members, Helpdesk staff, and technical support staff to ensure the successful and timely resolution of Helpdesk issues.

In the past year and a half, Chris has become quite an asset to the WPI Helpdesk. He currently handles about 26% of the incoming call volume and boasts a 61% First Contact Resolution rate. He is well known for his kind, calm demeanor and has been dubbed "Mr. Patience" by some users.

Chris is a critical resource for Helpdesk frontline student workers. He provides one-on-one training, offers guidance and points them to resources as needed. He is a wonderful mentor and role-model for them and helps them to develop work skills that they will take with them upon graduation. His interest in helping the student staff to develop skills that will serve them well far beyond graduation further illustrates his commitment to serve others.

Chris is a dedicated and reliable Help Desk Analyst who injects compassion, respect and kindness into each customer interaction. His contributions and their impact are far-reaching. The WPI Helpdesk is very proud to count him as part of their team.
