WPA Wireless Installation

These directions will walk you through configuring the Apple 3G iPhone and iPod Touch wireless configuration process. Please note that due to the widely varying nature of mobile devices, we cannot fully support wireless on the iPhone and iPod Touch. The directions offered here are provided on an AS-IS basis.

NOTE - Your wireless card needs to be registered through WPI Network Registration (http://netreg.wpi.edu/) prior to working on the WPI Wireless Network. You will need your hardware MAC address in order to register.

Setup of WPI Wireless Network

Make sure your wireless card is registered through WPI Network Registration (http://netreg.wpi.edu/). Select [Register New Machine], then choose Wireless: Mobile Wireless Systems from the IP Range list.
Download the iPhone mobileconfig file to your device. You will be asked for your CCC username and password.
Open the file. You will be prompted to install the profile. Select Install.
If you already have a configuration in place for the WPI-Wireless network, you will be prompted to either replace the existing configuration or to keep your current one. Choose Replace.
You will be prompted to enter a password for the identity certificate. Enter the password from the key download page.
The profile should then be successfully installed.
When WiFi is enabled, your device should automatically connect to the WPI-Wireless network.
