WPI Mail Forwarding

This page is intended for those who wish to set mail forwarding to locations off the WPI campus.

All students who created their computer accounts after May 2007 will automatically have Exchange accounts therefore should choose the Exchange forwarding option.

We understand that part-time graduate students and distance learners may have valid reasons for forwarding their WPI email to their primary (off-campus) email address.

That said, we do not recommend off-campus mail forwarding for full-time undergraduate students. Why not? The reason is simple yet important: personal data security. Personal information pertinent to WPI business may be sent to the WPI email address from WPI offices or WPI faculty. We cannot guarantee the security of that information once it leaves our systems. For this reason we highly recommend that all full-time undergraduates utilize WPI email for academic and WPI business matters.

Forward Exchange Email	For those who use the Microsoft Exchange Outlook Web Access (OWA)
Forward UNIX Email	For those who use UNIX web mail or who read their mail on the UNIX server such as with POP to pop.wpi.edu, IMAP to imap.wpi.edu, or the alpine command.
