Products and Services Offered
Both short- and long-term projects are negotiated through the Laboratory Director. The WPI Bioprocess Center offers the following services to the biotechnology industry:
- fermentation process optimization and/or design (up to 55 liter working volume)
- bioreactor analysis
- medium development
- equipment testing
- evaluation of novel bioprocessing materials
- culture of genetically engineered organisms
- polymer characterization and production
Small-scale mammalian cell culture services are also available through the Bioprocess Center's Laboratory Director or through the laboratory of Dr. Jill Rulfs in the Department of Biology and Biotechnology.
