Project Presentation Day

As many of you may know, in the spring of each academic year, the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Worcester Polytechnic Institute holds its annual Project Presentation Day. This day is set aside each year for the undergraduate students to present their senior projects called Major Qualifying Projects (MQP) and for the graduate students to present their research. This will be an opportunity for many of you to see the results of projects sponsored by your business or organization. We are pleased to invite you to attend our Project Presentation Day.

This year's Project Presentation Day will be held on Tuesday, April 15th.

The tentative schedule for this year's Project Presentation Day is:

11:30 – 12:00 Registration for Visitors – outside of Kinnicutt Hall (SL 115 - 1st floor Salisbury Labs. Building #28 on WPI map)
12:00 – 12:15 Welcome
12:15 – 1:30 Session I: Tissue Engineering, Biomaterials, Cells
1:45 – 3:00 Session II: Biomechanics, Biofluids, Biotransport
3:15 - 4:15 Session III: Bioinstumentation, Devices

There will be refreshment breaks during which the students will be available for dialogue.

Our students are well-versed in the fundamentals of engineering and basic science and can apply these principles to solve complex problems in biology and medicine. More importantly, our project-oriented curriculum prepares our students to engage in a lifetime of professionalism and learning.
