Environmental Laboratory
The Environmental Laboratory is designed for state-of-the-art environmental analyses, including water and wastewater testing and treatability studies. The laboratory is shared by graduate research projects, graduate and undergraduate courses (CE 4060: Environmental Engineering Laboratory and CE 569: Environmental Engineering Treatability Laboratory), and MQP projects. Equipment available in this laboratory includes:
- Agilent 6890 Gas Chromatograph with ECD and FID detectors
- Perkin Elmer AAnalyst 300 Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer
- Varian Cary 50 UV-Vis Spectrophotometer
- Shimadzu TOC 500A Organic Carbon Analyzer
- Marathon 21000R Refrigerated Centrifuge
- Eppendorf 5804 Centrifuge
- Laminar Flow Hood
- Revco Ultra-low temperature Freezer
- ROpureST Reverse Osmosis Water System
- Barnstead Epure Water Purificiation System
- Hach 2100N Turbidimeter
Ancillary equipment including: Two fume hoods, waterbaths, refrigerated incubators, balances, spectrophotometers, pH meters, conductivity meters, DO meters, furnace, oven, refrigerators and freezers and ultrasonic bath.
