Research & Teaching Interests
Inorganic membrane synthesis and applications; dense membranes for hydrogen and oxygen separations; membrane reactors; synthesis of pillared layered clays, adsorption and diffusion in zeolites, pillared clays and other porous materials; waste reduction and prevention; separation technologies; interfacial mass transfer; transport and flux enhanced phenomena
Research
The emphasis of our group's research is in the synthesis, characterization and application of inorganic membranes. Currently, our effort has been concentrated on the synthesis, characterization and industrial applications of composite Pd and Pd-alloy- porous stainless steel (PSS) membranes for hydrogen separation and production applications, including hydrogen membrane reactors for steam reforming and fuel cell applications.
