Centers & Laboratories
The department has first rate teaching and research facilities including computer labs within the department, computer labs in the Computing & Communications Center (CCC) and elsewhere on campus, 10 research laboratories with state-of-the-art specialized research equipment, a materials characterization laboratory with an x-ray diffraction apparatus and a scanning electron microscope, a complete machine shop and an electrical shop where one can build specialized research equipment, as well as access to numerous other labs on the campus.
