Welcome
Come to WPI CS and shape the future!
The future holds opportunities that we can hardly imagine from today's viewpoint. But just as the technologies we live with today, such as MP3 players, the Internet, laptops, PDA's, and real-time weather radar – all created with contributions from WPI graduates – were unimaginable a mere decade ago, Computer Science students and faculty work together to create the technologies of tomorrow that seem incredible today.
To glimpse that future, look at our colloquia and research: in wireless networks, data management, visualization, intelligent tutoring systems and many other cutting edge topics. Look at our advanced courses in networks and webware, graphics and animation, database systems and artificial intelligence. Find out about our senior projects, some of which are conducted at Silicon Valley, Wall Street, Lincoln Laboratory, Kansai, Japan, or Budapest, Hungary. Investigate the role that Computer Science plays in our exciting Interactive Media and Game Development and Robotics Engineering majors.
