Scholarships

A. L. Brown Scholarship
These scholarships are awarded by the New England Chapter of the Society of Fire Protection Engineers to a full time student from New England (or attending New England institutions) who show a demonstrated interest in fire protection. Application forms can be obtained from the Center office; the submission deadline is usually February 1.
The Percy Bugbee Fire Protection Engineering Scholarship
This $5,000 scholarship, from the National Fire Protection Association, is awarded to a fire protection engineering student who has demonstrated excellence in academic achievement and demonstrated intent to perform a thesis or graduate project activity aimed at improving fire protection engineering methods.
SFPE Educational and Scientific Foundation
This foundation makes awards in the range of $3,000 to $12,000 to support student research projects related to fire.
John D. Cook, III Scholarship- Philadelphia -Delaware Chapter- SFPE
Scholarships up to $1,000 available to full-time students having completed at least one semester of studies at the end of the Fall semester and undergraduate students having attained at least a junior standing at the end of the Fall semester. Applicants must be from the Philadelphia Delaware Valley area covered by this Chapter of SFPE.
James R. O'Neil/ W. Robert Powers Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded by the New York Metropolitan/ New Jersey Chapter of the SFPE, to students from the area covered by these chapters.
Charles Roth Scholarship
Sponsored by the Society of Fire Protection Engineers Cascade Chapter, scholarships in the $200 to $500 range are given to FPE students with preferences to those originating from Oregon of southwest Washington state.
Greater St. Louis Chapter SFPE Annual Engineering Scholarship
These scholarships are awarded by the Greater St. Louis Chapter of the Society of Fire Protection Engineers to full-time students from the Greater St. Louis area who are enrolled in an engineering program. Application forms can be obtained from the Center office.
Northern Californian/Nevada Chapter SFPE Academic Scholarship
Applicants must have full-time student status, undergraduate or graduate in a fire protection engineering program or related engineering program. Applicants must be or have been a permanent resident (4 years) of the scholarship geographic area served by the Northern CA/Nevada Chapter of SFPE and a member of the local SFPE Chapter (New England Chapter). Scholarships are $1,000 per year while enrolled and can be renewed.
