Course Placement
German
If you have had no previous experience learning German, you should begin your study with GN 1511, Elementary German I.
If you have had previous experience learning German - either at school or at home - you will be wondering what German class to register for. The German Placement Test will help answer that question. The placement assessment takes place in August during New Student Orientation. Check the NSO schedule for time and place.
Whoever has had at least two years of German in high school and wants to continue with German at WPI must come to this placement session.
Consult Professor Dollenmayer if you want placement information at any other time in the academic year.
Spanish
Students interested in taking a placement test in Spanish should attend the scheduled placement test session during the New Student Orientation Week (The week prior to classes) or should contact Professor Ángel A. Rivera or Professor H.J. Manzari.
