Vocal Performance Lab

The Vocal Performance Lab is a select, auditioned mixed ensemble for serious singers wishing to explore the rigors and rewards of performance practice - from Medieval music to vocal jazz. The Vocal Performance Lab is also used as the vocal backbone for the experimental works created in the Media Laboratory. Recent peformances include Kurt Weill and Betolt Brecht's Mahagonny Sonspiel, Marc-Antoine Charpentier's Messe de Minuit and a digital performance of Thomas Tallis's 40-voice motet Spem in Alium. Rehearsals for this auditioned ensemble are weekly with added rehearsals particular to each performance.
