Style Sheets, Documentation, and Plagiarism

Many years ago, the Department adopted the following "Style Sheet" and statement on plagiarism. Discuss citation, documentation, and plagiarism with your instructor and advisors in the Humanities and Arts. Many additional resources regarding citation-style and documenting sources are also available.

Citation styles for electronic resources are evolving rapidly.  Where possible, citations to electronic articles should now include the DOI (Digital Object Identifiers), an alpha-numeric code registered to each scholarly article as a persistent link to the article, instead of the URL and date of access.  A number of resources are available.   See, for example:

The following forms are available for students completing a Humanities and Art Sufficiency Project:

To submit your concluding Project in the Humanities and Arts, you will need to follow the format provided in the sample title page and submit the Completion of Degree Requirement (CDR) form with an 80 word abstract, with the final project. Forms are also available from the Humanities and Arts Department or the Office of the Registrar.
