It would take a book hundreds of times longer than this section in order to completely describe the daily grind that Sam Wanamaker drudged through in order to bring about the creation of the new Globe. Fortunately, this is not necessary in order to understand the overall picture. What is important is the sequence of major events leading to the creation of the Globe, and the experience gained by the success (or failure) of each event. Very little documentation about this story has been made available to the public, but one additional resource, which may also be used as a supplement to this lesson, is a documentary created in 1983 by the BBC about Sam Wanamaker and the new Globe.
