This web site is designed as part of a qualifying project for three college students at WPI. The main intention of this project is to improve upon the safety procedures within WPI's theatre program and to provide a guideline of safety concerns for various theatrical positions. This guideline should be used ONLY as a beginning for research into theatrical safety concerns. By no means is the information on this page all that is required to properly run a safe theatre, nor is it law. For safety laws see OSHA. We strongly encourage anyone interested in this subject to do additional research on your own and look into the specific safety issues and regulations that concern your specific theatre.
