For anyone who takes offense at the "kicking French butt" crack
(so to speak)

Katharine

Is it possible dat I should love de enemy of France?

King Henry V
No; it is not possible you should love the enemy of
France, Kate: but, in loving me, you should love
the friend of France; for I love France so well that
I will not part with a village of it; I will have it
all mine: and, Kate, when France is mine and I am
yours, then yours is France and you are mine.

Henry V
Act V sc ii

Ahem, that is to say that we like French people. French people are our friends. The fact that Good King Hal went to France and smote the heck out of them a couple of hundred years ago, and then a couple hundred years after that Shakespeare wrote a play about it has nothing to do with French people today.

So anyone who happens to be French should feel confident that coming to WPI would still be a great experience.

Is that politically correct enough for ya?

Besides, it wasn't long before Joan of Arc kicked those English butts right back across the channel.

And Shakespeare wrote a play about that too. Check out Henry VI part I and read all about it.
