IGSD Advisor Retreat 2007 Resources

This year’s Retreat was built around a holistic approach to an off-campus experience. We gave participants the opportunity to think about the cultural aspects of going off campus and being more intentional about students’ growth throughout and beyond the experience. This was an opportunity for advisors and center directors to start planning for next year’s off campus experience with input from other experienced advisors, professionals in student life, education abroad, the career development center and students who have participated in the program.

Discussion and interaction focused on the following issues:
Cultural preparation
Language preparation
Making the most of where you are
Opportunities for reflection
Facilitating re-entry in a meaningful way for WPI students
Removing barriers and increasing incentives to more advisors becoming involved in the program

The agenda below was developed for this Retreat.  Click on the links for presentations, documents produced that day and other information.
