The main reference document still remains, Dr. Carrera’s MIT dissertation entitled City Knowledge: An Emergent Information Infrastructure for Sustainable Urban Maintenance, Management and Planning.  Although there is no company, other than City Knowledge LLC, that fully adopts all of the City Knowledge principles, there are still a lot of consulting firms that provide bits and pieces of the municipal information system mosaic.  Below is a partial list of such companies, as we have encountered them in a variety of municipal settings, in the course of our City Lab projects.
