Resources for Students
The following links are resources for students to use in choosing, preparing for, and completing off-campus projects.
WPI in the World
WPI's dynamic global network spans a considerable portion of the globe. Start here to learn about the locations to which WPI students can travel to complete their required projects or participate in exchange programs. The links on the map will take you to fact sheets and additional information about each site.
Applying to the Global Perspective Program
Get information on the requirements for going off campus for your Humanities & Arts Experience, your IQP, your MQP or on an Exchange Program.
Explore Completed IQPs
Check out this searchable database to learn about the amazing things that other WPI students have accomplished through their projects. This site will provide you with abstracts for only off-campus IQPs up until 2006. To access WPI's Gordan Library searchable database for all student projects, click here.
Handbook for IQP Advisors and Students
The handbook describes the objectives of the IQP and provides advice on how to write project proposals, conduct literature reviews, form and manage project teams, schedule project activity; run project meetings, review drafts, conduct assessments, and organize and structure the reports. While much of the information in this publication is directed at faculty, there is much useful information here for project teams as well.
Projects Program
The WPI Projects Program website contains many valuable resources, including the Directory of Available Projects and the Completed Project Search tool.
Project Center Bibliographies
The Gordon Library maintains lists of sources, both print and electronic, about the countries and cities in which students can complete their IQPs.
