Welcome

The Collaborative for Entrepreneurship & Innovation, or CEI, is WPI's university-wide entrepreneurship center.  We serve WPI students, faculty and alumni and technology entrepreneurs, service providers, and investors throughout the region. Our goal is to assist in the creation of sustainable new technological businesses. Our educational and networking resources help aspiring technology entrepreneurs to build new products, businesses, and organizations.

WPI's academic and cultural diversity create an environment in which our students inherently acquire an entrepreneurial mindset. The CEI fosters that mindset through its educational programs, competitions, resources, mentoring, advising, innovation internships, and networking opportunities. An entrepreneurship minor and several entrepreneurship and innovation courses are offered at both undergraduate and graduate levels. 

Our Top Ten programs were recognized in 2005 by Entrepreneur Magazine’s TechknowledgePoint survey of entrepreneurial schools by ranking us highest among the nation's schools with an Entrepreneurship Emphasis.

We welcome you to discuss, in strict confidence, ideas for new technology-based businesses, products, services, or processes. We may provide services based upon your unique needs or suggest mentors, programs, or resources to help move you forward.
