The Collaborative for Entrepreneurship & Innovation (CEI) is WPI's university-wide entrepreneurship center, serving WPI students, faculty and alumni and technology entrepreneurs, service providers, and investors throughout the region. One of our goals is to facilitate the creation of sustainable new technological businesses. A second goal is to impart an entrepreneurial and innovative mindset to our students and campus community. Our educational and networking resources help aspiring technology entrepreneurs to build new products, businesses, and organizations.
WPI's academic and cultural diversity create an environment in which our students inherently acquire an entrepreneurial, innovative mindset. The CEI fosters this even further through its educational programs, competitions, resources, mentoring, advising, innovation internships, and networking opportunities. An undergraduate entrepreneurship minor open to all majors at WPI and several undergraduate and graduate entrepreneurship and innovation courses are offered through the Department of Management. A course for engineering students, Engineering Innovation and Entrepreneurship is also offered.
Our Top Ten programs were recognized in 2005 by Entrepreneur Magazine's TechknowledgePoint survey of entrepreneurial schools by ranking us in the top ten highest among the nation's schools with an Entrepreneurship Emphasis.
