The Industrial Microwave Modeling Group

Profile

The Center of Industrial Mathematics and Statistics brings together academic research with actual problems facing today's industry. As a part of CIMS, the Industrial Microwave Modeling Group (IMMG) focuses its efforts on issues related to mathematical modeling and computations for systems and processes of microwave heating. The Group's activity is aimed at enhancing the technological competitiveness of its partners in microwave power engineering as well as enriching the expertise of the faculty and the value of the students' education.

The IMMG activities offer a variety of educational opportunities for students who might join the microwave power industry after graduation and bring to it their professional experience in modeling and computation. Practitioners working in the field may benefit from the IMMG seminars and workshops.

More on rationales and motivations

The group is dedicated to a variety of activities beneficial to industry (equipment manufacturers & software designers) and to WPI students and faculty.
