Requirements & Deadlines:
It is strongly recommended that each participant bring his/her own laptop on which the EM modeling software, QuickWave-3D, will be installed for the duration of the course. (Technical means for practical work with the simulator are generously provided by QWED, the developer and vendor of QuickWave-3D.)
There is no particular deadline before which all the attendants are expected to sign up for the course. However, the seats in the class are very limited, so when the number of registrants exceeds the limit, registration will be closed (the online Registration Form will become inactive). So, to get a place in the class, one should register as soon as possible.
Students could suggest examples of their particular interest to be included in the set of course's practical modeling exercises. The descriptions of the projects should be e-mailed directly to the instructor. The deadline for submission of the problems is November 25, 2003.
Meal:
Refreshments (coffee/tea and cookies) will be provided during the breaks between the lectures.
Lunch for the school attendants will be served in Ochsen Restaurant in Grub at 12:30 pm on December 8, 2003 on "you pay what you order" basis. Transportation to the restaurant will be provided.
The School Dinner, an optional social event in the end of the first day of the course, will take place at 7:00 pm on December 8, 2003 also in Ochsen Restaurant. The cost of the dinner (including soup, salad, entree, dessert and excluding beverages) can be combined with the accommodation cost in the Ochsen Hotel as described below. For special arrangements, please make appropriate requests on the Registration Form.
Accommodation:
The course attendants can get convenient and reasonable (cost-to-quality) accommodation in Ochsen Hotel in Grub, a 10 minute walk from the course site. The hotel will keep the block of rooms for the course participants on hold until November 28.
The following discounted rates will be available for the packages:

- Double Room, breakfast and dinner: CHF 100.00 per person
Accommodation without dinner is also possible: A room of single occupancy costs CHF 70.00 per night, double occupancy - CHF 130.00. Please make your hotel reservation by completing the Registration Form.
This is the only hotel in the village of Grub, and the number of rooms in it is very limited, so the soonest registration/reservation is strongly recommended. An alternative place to stay can be found in Heiden (10 min drive east from Gigatherm).
