A Day in the Life of a Cadet
What's an average day like for a freshman ROTC cadet? Here's the answer...
- 6:45-9:00
- Get up, go for morning run, shower, grab breakfast and head to class
- 9:00-9:50
- Class: Calculus II
- 10:00-11:50
- Class: Object-Oriented Introduction to Programming
- 12:00-1:00
- Lunch at dining hall
- 1:00-3:00
- Do homework, laundry
- 3:00-3:50
- Class: Introduction to ROTC I
- 4:00-6:00
- Hang out, quick basketball game
- 6:00-7:00
- Dinner with friends
- 7:00-10:30
- Go to Calculus Help session, Study for tomorrow's test
- 10:30
- Order late-night pizza with roommate, keep studying
As you can see, ROTC doesn't interfere with a normal college schedule. In fact, it enhances it. ROTC teaches skills like leadership, teamwork and time management that not only complement college life, but will help you in the real world afterward.
