Detailed Terrain Integrity:
The terrain of the Battle Road is fairly intact. There are specific areas that have been developed, such as Charlestown, and Menotomy. The best terrain integrity is from The North Bridge, to Lexington Center. The largest difference in terrain integrity is that in 1775 there were considerably fewer trees. The trees that are there now give a false impression of how close the Minutemen were to the British column. The following is a list of pictures taken recently at the specific sites and how they are different and similar to the terrain in 1775.
- The Old North Bridge
- Meriams Corner - Image not yet available
- Hardy's or Brooks Hill. - Image not yet available
- Bloody Curve - Image not yet available
- Parker's Revenge - Image not yet available
- The Bluff - Image not yet available
- Fiske Hill - Image not yet available
- Industrial / Residential Development: Mild:
The areas of Charlestown, Arlington and Boston are completely different than they were in 1775. But the Battle Road from Concord to Lexington is lightly developed excluding the center of the towns.
