White and Rose Named to All-NEWMAC Men's Swimming and Diving Academic Team
Babson Park, MA --- For the second straight year WPI juniors Daniel White (Sidney, ME) and Steve Rose (Worcester, MA) have been named to NEWMAC Men's Swimming and Diving All-Academic team. The WPI men's swimming and diving team finished the year with a 5-6 dual meet record and a fourth place finish at the NEWMAC Championships.

Elder, Brasefield and Guardino Earn All-NEWMAC Women's Swim & Diving Academic Honors
Babson Park, MA --- Three WPI women's swimmers and divers have been selected to receive honors on the 2007-08 NEWMAC All-Academic team. Junior Jessie Brasefield and sophomore diver Morgan Guardino make their first appearance on the team while senior Allison Elder has been tabbed for the third straight year.

Ruffing wins 200-yard butterfly at NEWMAC Championships
Cambridge, MA --- Freshman Mason Ruffing raced to a first place finish in the 200-yard butterfly with his time of (1:53.61) and senior Jeff Meyer fought to a third place in the 1650-yard freestyle to help the Engineers secure a fourth place overall finish at the three-day NEWMAC Championships at MIT. The Engineers scored 350 total points while Coast Guard was the meet champion with 991 points. Ruffing was WPI's lone swimmer to be named to the All-Conference team for his victory in the 200-butterfly. He also reached the provisional NCAA qualifying standard.

Men's Swimming Remains in Fourth Place at NEWMAC Championships
Cambridge, MA --- Jeff Meyer raced to a second place finish to help the Engineers maintain fourth place overall at the NEWMAC Championships at MIT. The Engineers have tallied a total of 205 points over two days at the meet. Meyer's second place finish came in the 400-yard IM with his time of 4:09.76. Mason Ruffing, David Keck and freshman Alford Green took home third, fifth and 14th place in the 100-yard butterfly, respectively.
