The Interactive Qualifying Project (IQP)
The Interactive Qualifying Project (IQP) is an opportunity for WPI students to explore the relationships between society and technology. The project, the equivalent of three courses, is usually completed by teams of 2-4 students in their junior year. Students can complete their IQP on campus or at one of many off-campus sites.
Students planning to complete their project on campus should know that faculty in the Department of Social Science and Policy Studies have expertise in society - technology studies and are often involved in research involving a society/technology problem. For information about specific faculty, see Faculty Teaching & Research Interests.
