LOCATION
The Puerto Rico Project Center offers an opportunity to be immersed in a Caribbean culture that is a unique and harmonious blend of Spanish and North American influences found nowhere else in the world. Located in San Juan, the Center offers the attractions of a large metropolitan area within easy reach of El Yunque national rain forest, white sand beaches, historic El Morro Spanish fortress, Arecibo Observatory, and many other sites of interest.
PROJECTS
Projects are completed in teams and span a wide variety of topics including the environment, public health, housing, social welfare, transportation, and land use. We focus heavily, by design, on issues of sustainable development. Sponsoring agencies have included many offices of the government of the commonwealth as well as local industries.

Note:
In calculating the extra expense to participate in an off-campus project experience, compare this figure to expenses incurred while living on campus (groceries or meal plan, entertainment expenses, transportation, etc.)
Travel Dates:
Arrive on site: Saturday, March 13, 2010
Depart site: Friday, May 7, 2010
Housing is provided beginning and ending on the dates determined. Students who plan to arrive earlier or stay later will need to make their own accomodation arrangements outside of those dates.
