National Library Week 2009 - Worlds Connect @ Your Library

National Library Week

Join the Circle of Knowledge @ Your Library

Worlds connect @ your library: celebrate National Library Week at the Gordon Library, April 12-18. It’s National Library Week, a time to celebrate the contributions of libraries, librarians and library workers in schools, campuses and communities nationwide - and the perfect time to discover how worlds connect @ your library.

Everyday, worldwide libraries in big cities and small towns, colleges and universities, in schools and in businesses help transform their communities, providing information and access to copyrighted print and electronic books, music and films. At the Gordon Library, people of all backgrounds come together for project team meetings, lectures and programs, to do research with the assistance of trained professionals, to get help finding a job or to get assistance with research projects.

Students, faculty and staff visit the library to use our labs, tech suites, laptops, and computers around the library on a daily basis. We support local and global project teams at project centers and teach students how to use research tools which are accessible worldwide. As well we help distance learners with their research far beyond Worcester, in New York, Melbourne, Munich and beyond. Help us celebrate by attending our National Library Week events.
