Online Reservation Pilot

Collaboration and study spaces are available throughout the library. The Tech Suites are work areas with cutting-edge technologies and are available by reservation request at the Information Desk (x5410) to all WPI faculty, staff, and students. There are 14 group study spaces located on the 3rd floor and 3 located on the 1st floor available without reservations. The Anderson Instruction Labs are computer training labs available for staff, but on evenings & weekends Lab A can be scheduled by student groups.

A reading area, located on the 2nd floor of the library, has comfortable seating for relaxing and reading. Also located in this area are bestsellers, popular videos, audiobooks and music CDs that may be charged out to members of the WPI community.

Computers for general use are located throughout the library. Six collaborative workstations with large monitors are available in the library and two existing computers have been upgraded with dual monitors. General use computers found in the PC Room, the Movie Lab, and elsewhere in the building require a WPI login account and offer access to all WPI computing resources. Four computers for public use require photo ID and visitors to WPI should check with the Information Desk for access. Occasionally, the Movie Lab is reserved for a class. More on campus labs ...

Both wireless and wired computer network access is available in the building, both for the laptops available for check out at the Circulation Desk, and for personal laptops.
