Lab and Conference Room Reservation and Use Policy

Anderson Lab A, Lab B, GL206 and GL303 are computer labs and staff conference rooms which are made available for WPI faculty, staff and student use on evenings and weekends.

Exceptions may be made for weekday 8am-5pm if availability allows but only within one week of intended use for WPI faculty or staff, or within 36-hours for student use.

WPI students, faculty or staff who wish to use these rooms will be asked to complete an Equipment Agreement Form . A key must be checked out at the Information Desk. A WPI ID card is required to check out the key to the room.

Contains 1 PC with Windows Vista, Office 2007, and classroom software and seating for 8 and includes a plasma TV and whiteboard.

Third floor of the library next to Tech Suites 1 & 2.

Has a large conference room table and seating for 25 but no technology.

Lab A

Located on the First Floor, through Multimedia Lab

Anderson Instruction Labs are named for Albert G. Anderson, former library director, due to his generous gift to WPI.

Contains 16 PCs and seating for 32 and includes an instructor PC, projection system, DVD/VCR, whiteboard, and chalkboards. Computers in the lab run Windows Vista, Office 2007, the Banner client, classroom software, RefWorks Write-n-Cite, and Direct Response System software. Equipment Instructions...

Lab B

First Floor, next to Lab A

Contains 14 PCs and seating for 20 and includes an instructor PC, projection system, DVD/VCR, and whiteboard. Computers in the lab run Windows Vista, Office 2007, classroom software, and Direct Response System software. Special software: Contains Adobe Creative Suite, Banner client software, and other classroom software such as MatLab. Equipment Instructions...

Scheduling Policies

Intended Use: Lab A, Lab B, GL303 and GL206 are intended for use by groups of at least 3 or more, for presentation practice, and training - not as a private study space. Activity of an academic nature will always take precedence over activity deemed recreational. WPI groups or project teams may schedule rooms for non-reoccurring 2-hour blocks of time during the following times:
