Other Off-Campus Users
Current WPI faculty and students at off-site project centers, internships, and the like, may request help with accessing library materials. Gordon Library staff will try to make materials available within the context of Copyright Law and similar restrictions.
Libraries in other states or countries may be an important resource to those doing research off-site. Foreign libraries may have different access policies than U.S. libraries. Even libraries within private colleges and universities in the U.S. may restrict access to their own students and faculty and require a letter or fee from others interested in using their materials. There is no obligation on part of foreign or private U.S. institutions to provide access, but many will honor a letter of introduction from the individual's home institution.
Should you need this access, please contact our reference librarian staff. We will need the name of the library and the nature of material you need to consult. We would be happy to write a letter.
Please contact WPI reference librarians at research-lib@wpi.edu.
