Boynton Hall in Worcester and on the next page Boynton Castle in England, with their striking similarity. Stephen Earle, who designed the Hall, visited the British Isles in 1866, and was undoubtedly influenced by the architecture which he studied in the northern part of England. It may be that the resemblance was deliberately intended to strengthen the Boynton connection.
