How to Request Library Books for Class Reserve
Textbooks
Faculty are encouraged to place personal copies of textbooks on 2-hour reserve at the library. Students who request that the library purchase textbooks will be referred back to the instructor of the course. If the faculty member does not have a personal copy and feels it is important to have the book on reserve, he/she may request that the library purchase it. It will be paid for with the academic department's library allocation. See also textbooks web sites.
Electronic Course Readings
Many electronic resources within library databases can be linked to directly, avoiding the need for paper reserves and creating legitimate access that does not infringe on copyright.
