Keeping Up to Date

There are a wide range of current awareness services to help keep you informed of new information in your area of interest. Once set up, the information is pushed at a specified frequency (daily, weekly, monthly) via email. Some sites allow you to customize and save searches, favorite books/journals, and even articles/citations on their system. You have to visit the web site in the future to pull the information.

Does the library subscribe to the online version of the journal you have in mind?

Check our Searchable Collections => Journals, Magazines, & Newspapers search to find your favorite journal.

If the library does not subscribe to the online journal:

You can often receive notification of the latest table of contents through an aggregated database vendor such as IngentaConnect or EBSCO.

Wake up in the middle of the night wondering who in the world is citing your research? Find out when someone cites your research by setting up an email alert.

Saved Search & Alerts by Your Search Terms

Create a profile and your searches can be stored on the system. Visit the site to rerun the search. Or create a profile and your searches can be stored on the system and emailed to you on a frequency that you choose. References to any new articles on your topic will be sent to you in the future.
