Advanced Searching
Good Work!
This module showed you more advanced database searching techniques.
Now you should be able to:
- Come up with the best search terms and choose the best tool to search
- Understand the difference between keyword and subject searching
- Use boolean operators to create a successful search string
- Understand when to use and what happens if you search by field or phrase and or use truncation in a search
- Be able to successfully limit a search to retrieve those records that are most relevant
- Customize search results and be able to e-mail or save results for later perusal.
You can continue to the next module Evaluating Sources.
