The Free Web & Wrap-up
As You Know the web is great for fast facts, but...
Get lucky by going to the Gordon Library web site.
As you know the free Web can be a good research source for:
- learning more about companies and information from organizations, such as the U.S. government or non-profit agencies
- finding quick facts and catching up with current news
- gathering opinions of people
- And connecting to library resources
The free Web is a good tool for finding information, but it is often not the best place to begin academic research.
You've completed the module Starting Smart and should be able to:
- identify a variety of information sources
- identify characteristics of information on the Web
- identify characteristics of library resources
You can continue to the next module Developing a Topic.
