Is the Free Web Really Free?

Not always. Even when using Google, you may get results that are from paid library subscriptions.

If you are off campus, use the Proxy server to connect to library databases and articles that you may come across that we subscribe to. Web searches are beginning to include results for subscription based library resources like full text articles, electronic journals and books, these are often referred to as the "deep" web or the "hidden" web. If on campus within the WPI internet IP address range, you'll get right into subscribed articles you come across without even knowing it!
