Webinars Offered by Vendors

Webinars are hosted by database vendors. Most offer:

• free live classes with ability to ask questions
• dates that vary from month to month
• class sizes may be limited and reservations are required
• connect from your own computer with Internet connection, telephone or headset with microphone, and Web browser

Vendors will send a registration email with details on how to connect.

ebrary support and training	Live webinars and recorded videos providing insturction on using ebrary.
EBSCO Training	Acess online tutorials, training courses, and user guides for EBSCO resources such as America: History & Life and Historical Abstracts and Business Source Premier.
EndNote Web Product Training	Online tutorials and live webinars regarding the use of EndNote Web.
Hoover's Training Center	Live and recorded webinars, and guides providing instruction on using Hoovers.
IEEE Digital Library Training	Training sessions on best practices in searching as well as getting quick demonstrations of new features of the IEEE Xplore® digital library.
Knovel Training Sessions	Live, 30-minute virtual sessions are designed to provide you with the fundamentals of using Knovel as an online research tool.
Lexis-Nexis Tutorials	A series of four video tutorials on using Lexis-Nexis Academic and Statistical.
New York Times (Historical) Online Training	A series of Proquest webinars on the usage of Proquest Historical Newspapers: New York Times.
Proquest Newsstand Online Training	A series of Proquest webinars on the usage of Proquest Newsstand.
PubMed Online Training	A series of video tutorials detailing proper usage of PubMed. Includes brief animated tutorials and longer recorded instruction sessions.
RefWorks Webinars	RefWorks complimentary training webinars. Course enrollment is limited and registration is required. Additional dates and courses will be added on an on-going basis. You will receive a confirmation of your enrollment.
Safari Tech Books Online Training	A series of Proquest webinars on the usage of Safari Tech Books Online.
SciFinder e-Seminars	Live and recorded webinars on basic and intermediate topics regarding the use of SciFinder Scholar.
Web of Knowledge Training	Live and recorded webinars on various training topics related to ISI Web of Knowledge (formerly known as the Web of Science), such as their databases search, managing search results, and citation alerting.
Wiley InterScience Tutorials	Online training sessions and tutorials detailing proper usage of Wiley Interscience. Live sessions range from 30 minutes to one hour, and provide a toll-free number for questions.
