Projects
Interactive Qualifying Projects (IQPs) and Major Qualifying Projects (MQPs) are core aspects of the WPI Curriculum. The IQP challenges students to relate social needs or concerns to specific issues raised by technological developments. In the case of the MQP, it demonstrates the application of the skills, methods, and knowledge of their major to the solution of a problem of the type they might encounter during their career. Projects are typically completed in teams of 2-4 students.
Upon completion, projects are presented to their advisors, sponsors, or in public. During Project Presentation Day in April, MQPs completed throughout that academic year are presented. Those presented in 2009 are listed here.
