Untethered Healthcare
By developing new technologies and products that enable the health of individuals to be monitored at a distance (for example, monitoring the vital signs of older citizens at home or soldiers in the field), researchers in this center are helping improve the quality of healthcare, control cost, and reduce risks for both patients and care-givers.
With external partners, the center conducts applied research, engineering, and product development that merges advances in nanotechnology, cellular processes, imaging, and molecular biology with those in telecommunications and information technology.
