Consortium Members
CHTE consortium membership consists of four tiers: Platinum, Gold, Silver, or Bronze levels. Founding members, those who initiated the Center with an initial payment of $25,000, are identified with an asterisk.
For each membership class, the following privileges are available:
Bronze members are entitled to participate in all symposia and educational events. They are eligible to receive all information as it is developed, receive newsletters and publications of the Center but are ineligible to participate directly in research projects. Furthermore, Bronze members are ineligible for the royalty free use of intellectual property resulting from research conducted by and for the CHTE. The bronze annual membership fee is $2,000.
Silver members are entitled to the benefits of Bronze members with the following additions. They are eligible to participate in focus groups used to assist and direct research projects. They will be directly involved in the industrial internship program at WPI, in which students are working with the industry to address fundamental issues facing the industry. Silver Members have royalty free use of intellectual property resulting from the research conducted by and for the CHTE. The Silver annual membership fee is $6,000.
Gold members are entitled to all of the benefits of the Silver members and are eligible to serve on the Board of Directors and the Project Steering Committee. Membership on the Board and Steering Committee will be on a rotational basis. Gold Members have royalty free use of intellectual property resulting from the research conducted by and for the CHTE. The Gold annual membership fee is $15,000.
Platinum members are entitled to all the benefits of the Gold members, and in addition, platinum members may have multiple membership on Focus Groups (maximum of one per person per company on each Focus Group); have access to the Metal Processing Institute's activities - status reports - of the other Centers (i.e., Casting and P/M); have six seats to the MPI Spring Symposium; obtain a 40% reduction in fees at the International Summer School, or any other custom tailored course; and obtain automatically all MPI publications. The Platinum annual membership fee is $25,000.
