Power the World focuses on various forms of energy resources and the history of their technologies. Energy is both the cause and the solution to a vast array of society’s problems:
- What can the laws of thermodynamics tell us about where to seek improvements in existing technologies?
- How have changes in energy sources radically transformed politics, society, and the natural environment over time?
- Can we expect alternative energy sources to both sustain human population growth and improve living standards?
