REU in Renewable Energy Science - U. of Massachusetts Amherst
Subject: Summer REU in Renewable Energy Science--Univ. of Massachusetts Amherst
Dear Colleague,
Your help is gratefully requested to inform STEM undergraduate students about the following summer research opportunity:
The University of Massachusetts Amherst's summer research experience program for undergraduates, Collaborative Undergraduate Research in Energy (CURE), investigates the science behind tomorrow's fuel cells, solar energy devices, and biofuels. The program is particularly appropriate for grad school-bound students pursuing degrees in chemistry, physics, materials science, and chemical engineering. We provide students with a challenging but rewarding summer research experience as part of a collaborative team, a $450/week stipend, free residence hall housing, and reimbursement for travel to and from their home. The ten-week program also provides a full schedule of educational and recreational activities in Western Massachusetts, halfway between Boston and New York City. Applications are now being accepted for the 2009 CURE program, through February 16. All program information and the application form are online at http://www.chem.umass.edu/masscrest/reu/.
Thank you!
