Brian Bates

Hi, my name is Brian Bates.  I am a Computer Science major, with a minor in Mathematics.  I am currently a Junior here at WPI, returning as a tutor for a second year.  Don't be surprised if you also see me as an SA in one of your Computer Science classes!  Outside of academics, my hobbies include fitness, playing guitar and basketball, to name a few.  Feel free to stop by and ask me a tough question!

Andrew Black

I am Andrew Black, a sophomore at WPI for the 2008-2009 academic year; I plan to major in Chemical Engineering and maybe go for a minor or major in Chemistry as well.  I've had opportunities to work in the labs of professors at WPI specializing in fuel cell research and bioengineering.  I have lived in southeastern Massachusetts my whole life, so it is awesome to meet so many people from all over and to help them in their studies.  In high school I helped my classmates and I continue to do so at WPI.  Outside of academics I enjoy karate, kayaking, skiing, chess, card and board games, videogames, and going on trips.

Eugene Choi

My name is Eugene Choi, and I am a double major in chemical engineering and electrical/computer engineering. I find helping students with classes a very rewarding experience, and I have enjoyed tutoring since my sophomore year. I am a big fan of sports, and I like learning to play music instruments and foreign languages. I am looking forward to another year as a MASH leader, and I hope I can be a peer-mentor for students to feel comfortable and helpful coming to my session.

Akhil Kejriwal

Hello everyone! I'm Akhil, an international student from India. I'm currently a third year BS-MS student interested in Mechanical Engineering (especially fluid mechanics), Math, Physics, CS... well this list goes on but anyways the first three for sure. I'm not altogether too sure what I want to do after college, but it involves an MBA in Finance, maybe some kind of a job, and definitely driving a good car (don’t get me started on this). Hopefully I'll get to meet some of you during the course of the year, and even if you don't need any help feel free to drop in!!!

I’ve played Ultimate Frisbee and Roller Hockey at WPI, and am a member of the Newman Club and Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity. My favorite TV show is The Office, followed closely by The Office. I’ll be a sophomore MASHing Physics 1110/1120 this year, and after taking high school physics with a WPI alumnus and Physics last year, I’m hoping I can relate to and help you with any problems you have."

Christopher Waring

Hi, my name is Chris Waring; I am a junior biochemistry major here at WPI. This summer, I am currently working with an ambulance company in Haverhill and Lowell, Massachusetts as an EMT. In addition to being a MASH leader and peer tutor, I am an elected senator on WPI's Undergraduate Student Government Association and an active member of WPI EMS. This past school year marked my first year as a MASH leader in A and B terms, and as a peer tutor in C and D terms and to put it shortly, I really enjoy it. My main reason for taking this job is because I really like helping people learn and understand the fundamentals of chemistry and, in doing this, I myself learn something from you. This coming year I hope to help more people, not just by spreading the word about MASH, but by adjusting how I run each session based on each group's styles of learning. And maybe, if I help enough people, and generate enough interest we can get chemistry MASH to stick around for the whole year, as opposed to just A and B terms. I really look forward to working with all of you this coming semester. And feel free to email me any questions you might have.

Yao Wang

Hello everyone, I am Yao, a Civil Engineering Major Student of class 2011 at WPI. Although I have a lot of interest in buildings, math and science are always my favorites.I look forward to meeting you during the year and let's explore the mysterious world of math and science !

Chaoran Xie
Hi everyone, my name is Chaoran Xie, aka Chao. I am a junior, double major in Actuarial Mathematics and Computer Science.
